Out this morning cutting the grass, for the sun is warm and we have had rain so cutting and fertilising is the order of the day. Bellaugello has to look good for you guys and I enjoy the rhythm of walking up and down the grass beginning to turn it back into lawn.
Dreamily gazing into the distance, I am reminded by just how big the views are, we are so fortunate to have such space and privacy, plenty for guys to be yourselves, to enjoy each other’s company. Our gardens are extensive on one side of the house terraces are places to relax, to soak up the sun, sit under the dappled share of old oak trees and also breakfast together with fellow guests. Our daily breakfasts are convivial times, a large table, home made breads, preserves, yoghurt, cakes and locally cured meat and cheeses, the aroma of fresh caffè filling the air competing with the heady fragrance of lavender and rosemary. Maybe you lazily get up to boil yourself an egg, maybe you just sit chatting with a cappuccino , whatever it is, the day is yours.
The other side of the house paths lead to our infinity swimming pool, azure waters, salt treated so kind to eyes and skin, large enough to properly swim, an infinity edge to the south, swim up to and gaze dreamily into the distance. There are plenty of sunbeds, some double, relax, soak up the sun, the choice of tan-lines or no tan-lines is up to you.
And below the house further terraces, one with the vegetable garden, one with fruit trees and the private terrace of the Giardino Suite, a space for an intimate dinner for you and your loved one, sunbeds to relax on, oh! and an outdoor shower.. come get wet under the Umbrian sun in the world’s largest bathroom…
