Bellaugello gay guest house is not far from Florence in Tuscany, and the traditional style of the house and suites is very much in keeping with this region of Italy. Each suite has been individually designed to be different and harmonious with the structure of the original house. Some feature aged stone walls, cotto floors and chestnut beams, others modern cutting edge design.

 

Importance is placed on your comfort. High quality furnishings, some family pieces, some locally sourced, original artwork, and luxurious double beds with fine cotton bedding are a feature. All the suites have a small kitchen corner enabling you, should you wish to prepare a simple lunch or romantic dinner. There is a full range of cooking utensils and crockery provided. Each suite has dining tables both inside and outside on the terraces. The bathrooms are indulgent. The suites have individually controlled underfloor heating for the cooler months, There is no air conditioning, just open a window and let the soft breeze rustle through...

The Duca Suite

Leading directly from a terrace in the oldest part of the house, this suite has a cotto and chestnut beamed ceiling. The mellow stone walls are adorned with tapestries and Gubbio ceramics. There is a small kitchen corner with hob and fridge. In the opposite corner is a traditional fireplace made with local coppi, the ideal place to curl up and relax. The large bathroom is modern with a double shower and separate bath.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Azure Suite

With a terrace overlooking the swimming pool, and views to the Apennine mountains this apartment in the oldest part of the house has a light and airy feel. Under chestnut and cotto ceilings the ancient brick arches divide the spaces in the suite. A well equipped kitchen corner is provided, and the large bathroom has a double walk in shower.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Mirror Suite

With windows to both east and west to take advantage of the rising and setting of the sun this suite is located in the upper floor of the central part of the house. A private loggia leads into the living room with traditional fireplace and wood burning stove, and a well equipped kitchen corner. A comfortable sofa-bed provides accommodation for a second couple if required. The separate bedroom is home to our collection of mirrors. A bathroom adapted for guests with special needs is accessed from both the living room and bedroom.

 

The Diva Suite

This suite on the top floor of the southern part of the house commands splendid views on three sides and is furnished in a very elegant modern style. A private covered portico leads to the living room with well equipped kitchen corner, log burning stove, and a comfortable sofa-bed providing accommodation for a second couple if required. The separate bedroom faces straight down the valley... imagine waking up in the bedroom looking out over the mist hanging below and above clear blue skies. The bathroom accessed from both the bedroom and living room has a large panoramic shower and is adapted for guests with special needs.

 

 

The Garden Suite
This duplex suite has a large bedroom on the first floor with two windows looking straight down the Chiascio valley. A staircase leads down to a dining-kitchen with well equipped kitchen corner, and the bathroom, which is divided from the dining-kitchen by a wall of glass bricks. Doors from both the dining-kitchen and bathroom lead out onto a large private panoramic terrace with outside shower area.

 

Yurts

For our guests looking for a slightly different holiday we off the Yurt option.

 

The Yurts are hand-made in England using traditional techniques and are available from June through September. Situated in lightly wooded sites on the hillside behind the main house each Yurt is furnished with a comfortable modern double bed, chest of drawers, hanging space for clothes and a table and chairs. Outside each has a simple bbq table and chairs and its own private shower room. The wooden cabin houses a shower-room with sink, fridge and separate flush toilet, in keeping with our eco-sustainable policy water is heated by solar panels.

 

So as not to disturb the peace of your holiday there is no television, radio or internet connection at the Yurt sites. Car parking is provided at he main house with paths cut through the woodland leading to the Yurts.

 

Guests staying in our Yurts are welcome to use the communal facilities and dine or breakfast at the main house.
