If coming from the north via Milan:
Take the autostrada A 14 towards Bologna/Ancona. Exit at Cesena Nord onto the E 45 towards Perugia/Roma. Exit onto the S 219 at Umbertide South signposted Gubbio. At Gubbio take the road for Perugia/Roma. At Mengara (10 kms from Gubbio) turn left opposite a large stone wall signposted Valdichiascio. Then follow the “At Valdichiascio” section.
Arriving from Florence:
Take the Autostrada A 1 towards Roma. Exit at Val di Chiana onto the raccordo autostrdale RA 6 towards Perugia. At Perugia take the superstrada E 45 towards Cesena, exiting at Bosco (10 kms after Perugia) Turn left towards Gubbio and follow the SS 298 pass by Piccione and through Scritto. After 20 kms there is a restaurant Oasi Verde on the left hand side, 300 metres further on turn sharp right (opposite a large stone wall) signposted Valdichiascio. Then follow “At Valdichiscio” section
Coming from Rome and the south:
Take the autostrada A 1 towards Firenze. Exit at Orte onto the E 45 superstrada towards Perugia/Cesena. 10 kms after Perugia exit at Bosco. Turn left onto the SS 298 towards Gubbio. Pass by Piccione and through Scritto. After 20 kms there is a restaurant on the left hand side, 300 metres further on turn sharp right (opposite a large stone wall) signposted Valdichiascio. Then follow the “at Valdichiascio” secion.
Arriving from Ancona:
Take the superstrada towards Fabriano. After Fossato di Vico take the exit signposted Gubbio. At Gubbio turn off towards Perugia. At Mengara (10 kms from Gubbio) turn left opposite a large stone wall signposted Valdichiascio. Then follow the “At Valdichiascio” section.
At Valdichiascio
Bellaugello is 4 kms from the main road. Stay on the tarmac road for 3kms following signs for ‘Il Gabbiano’ and continue straight on past the 30 kph sign. A further 50 metres take the left hand fork at the yellow house the road soon becomes a strada bianca. Pass the churchyard on the right. After a further 100 metres the road descends, take the sharp left hand turn. Bellaugello is the first house on the right a further 600 metres.
